Imagine this beautiful black 5 string being chipped, cigarette burned, generally abused. That is what this Mexican 5 string Fender (below) went through. Sorry for not doing an actual "before and after" picture. The picture above is like what this guitar probably looked new (before it had been very abused). "I worked it over and now it has many coats of chip/bump/scratch resistant paint covered with a special high gloss finish. The paint is specially designed for flexibility. The tone is even better than before I did the job. This guitar has been sold to a private collector through (Guitar Center / Albuquerque, NM).
My very favorite is an
American Fender Stratocaster (below). I refinished this because of a
chip just behind the bridge that was caused by the previous owner getting a
little zealous with the whammy bar. "I made the finish to look like Tiger Maple
using a regular paint brush once I sprayed the wine color base. Email me if you are interested in refinishing your guitar. Include pictures and any details regarding the custom refinishing.
